To the Tune of….
As we get older, I mean really older,
we tend to forget many things.
Oh, a lot of it doesn’t matter,
former phone numbers,
things like that, they’re not important
but you also forget the names
of acquaintances, people you knew,
things you were good at, national
and state capitals, even former names
of cities and countries, books
you read, names of birds, plants
and flowers, car models, songs,
their titles and many of their lyrics,
which reminds me of….oh, I forget.
