Falling into darkness
No recollection of life, love, marriage
Must sleep, always sleep
Liar! Actor! Attention-seeker!
Suffering multiple strokes per day, falling, slurring my words
Liar! We will torture you, call you names til you go insane.
But I kept seeking answers
The evil gods were angry.
Stop! Go to an institution!
I resisted
Twenty-four years ago I stumbled into your office
I heard the words “I believe you.”
Searching for answers til you found them
A strange incantation
Antiphospholipid Syndrome
Ehlers Danlos
Lupus
Liar no more
The evil gods, silenced.
They sulk in dark corners
All good things come to an end, they say
Now, the day has come that I must release you like a butterfly ready to explore new horizons
