Let This Chapter’s Voice be Known
Let this chapter’s voice be known—
Inscribed upon the heavens abode;
Whereby – death itself is said to have flown,
Twice – reborn – from yesterday’s it once swallowed—
Let the constellations voice be heard;
In silence – speak word for word – here
Where immortal words are crowned and lettered;
By its signs – as the alphabet’s signatures!
Let the winds of prophecy be – spoken!
That word for word as silver and gold—
Twisted to bind – half and half cloven,
That is by time and times – from new to old
As this compass of constellations does swear,
To its tongue and divine speech by oath;
Signed by fowls six and winds four which declare—
It’s authenticity – in agreement – Verily! one yet both!
