When the fog lifts
we will know
we have all
been invited
to the theatre-in-the-round
where we all belong
to see the speakers
from everywhere step out
of the melting pots
to list the lasting
traits that make
their people
good and strong, see
their fires of character
and we will all
be standing ready
with our bells to ring
our cheers when we hear
them say the same words
that our little families
brought with them
to feed our drive
make us survive our tears
and we will all ring our bells
boundlessly in commonality
vibrations will be felt
throughout our layered rowsto go on and on and on
over the heads of those
who tried so hard to clang us
against each other
