                      Donkeys bray
                      Breaking the stillness
                      Of the cricket’s song
With the clip clop of their hoofs
                      Against the asphalt,
They run loose in my neighborhood
                      Coyotes yip and howl
                      And the wind whooshes
Against the leaves on the bushes
My cat meows in woeful tones
To be let in for the night

A square image featuring a lighthearted, autumnal, and festive Halloween theme with a cartoon illustration style. The scene shows a group of five children in costumes—including a ghost, a pirate, a bunny, and a prisoner/zebra—standing outside a doorway for trick-or-treating. One child dressed as a stylized version of Frankenstein's monster is standing in the doorway. Two large carved jack-o'-lanterns are visible on the sides. The background is a soft beige color, and the overall mood is whimsical and family-friendly. A black owl logo is positioned near the top right. ghouls Text: A MIDWESTERN HALLOWEEN NIGHT PAULA FREW HALLOWEEN POETRY
