Our final issue of 2022, and our 10th issue ever – Yugen! This issue of the MockingOwl Roost celebrates that unique place of wonder, between feelings and words: Yugen (Japanese) “a profound awareness of the universe that triggers feelings too deep and mysterious for words.”
Each piece published by our contributors and staff has this sense of “otherness” in the in-between space where words are never enough. Being a publication full of words, this was a unique challenge for authors, perhaps, but the community has done a beautiful job of showing this resonating space through stories that help give words to those feelings.
