Dandelions
Image created on Canva
In your little hands, you grasp dandelions
Blowing them apart, letting them sail in wind
Your laughter follows as each little piece
flies far from your fingers, floating to the sky
You jump up and down, unable to grab them
though your laughter never fades
Those little dandelion parts continue to fly
Continue to evade you until they disappear,
fading into the empty gray sky
And my vision of you, full of life and laughter
fades like those dandelions in the wind.
