Oh, Muhammad ﷺ, My Love for You is Infinite!
Oh, Muhammad ﷺ my love for you is infinite!
If I could rewind time, I would make my way to you.
My love for you is not like a wildflower
that blooms precipitously in a few days or hours;
It is like a beautiful rose.
Slowly and gradually it has grown.
People say you can not fall deeply in love
with someone you have never seen.
I rebut! My Prophet, you shed your tears divine
for me when I had not yet come into being.
You have implanted the seeds of faith in my heart;
the delicate sprouting branches I endeavor to guard.
The reason I love, the reason I forgive,
is because in my heart you live.
The reason I rise whenever I fall,
is because of your struggles I recall.
The more aspersions your foes exercised against you,
the more tolerant and steadfast you became.
You were the first one to be contented,
and the last to be offended.
You were a monarch, yet you dwelt as a servant
so that your ummah in poverty may stay persistent.
You are lauded in the Quran by Allah the creator,
and verily you, Muhammad, are of magnificent character.
I wish like Abu Bakar (رضى الله تعالیٰ عنه), to be your saviour,
a shield ready for all the arrows to bear.
What a fate Umar (رضى الله تعالیٰ عنه) received;
Allah has bestowed him with all that I sought.
From Allah he was asked by the Prophet himself,
Your name on his tongue, you needed what else?
I do wonder how that moment will be
When you will stand in front of me.
On the day of resurrection,
only you will be saying “my nation.”
O’ Rasool Allah, your slave yearns to see your smile;
just a single glimpse and I’ll disremember all my trials.
Madina, Ah! That sanctified place I hanker to touch,
So I may depart placidly with no more desire as such,
Oh! Muhammad ﷺ my love for you is infinite!
If I could rewind time, I would make my way to you.
