How were you able to do all the things you did?
Being my nurse, teacher, and mentor when I was a kid.
How did you endure the heat of the kitchen, just to stop me from starving?
You combined everything perfectly as if it was nothing.
How did you become so good at explaining love to me without using words?
The thought of you, singing songs in my head without vocal cords.
Can words or sentences describe your sacrifices?
It is your grace that saved me from trauma and childhood crisis.
Mum, the world may see you as just Daddy’s wife
But to me, you are my soul, my breath, and life.
