Love me today…

please don’t wait until my time is up,
so many things to do and say
but the years didn’t last long enough.

Love me today…

please don’t wait until my time is up,
while there’s still life in this body of mine
so I can feel the warm hugs & kisses
and every little gentle touch.

Love me today…

please don’t wait until I’m gone away,
because I’m only here for a moment
and I don’t know how long I will be able to stay.

Love me today…

while I can still enjoy the laughters and the smiles,
show me just how much you appreciate me
because I’ll be gone after a while.

Love me today…

while I am still able to look in your eyes,
and hold you tight when you need comfort
or wipe away your tears when you cry.

Love me today…

please don’t wait until I’m out of your reach,
love me while I can still tell you good morning
or sweet dreams right before you go to sleep.

Love me today…

while I can still hear your voice,
because when the Lord finally calls me home
I won’t have any other choice.

Love me today…

while I can still love you back,
because love never fails
and that’s an everlasting fact!
