Living in a Burning Tower

Living with you is living in a burning tower
Smoke billowing out the windows
as flames engulf all we built together
The pictures and the memories
tossed in the fire
crumbling to dust and ash
Each fight, each tear, every little pain
Set the place on fire and we never stopped it
We only fueled it until it trapped us
And we couldn’t stop
the foundation breaking
or the walls burning down
Instead, we’re going up in a blaze
and we’ll keep burning until the fire dies
and all that’s left of us is dust
