Everyday Travel
Quite difficult, from distance to distance.
It felt like gravity was pulling the body down.
from here to there.
Second after second,
minute after minute,
hour after hour.
There is no bus stop.
There is no green light, yellow light, or red.
There is no full stop from there
or terminal back to home.
Reverse and change.
Twenty pesos and dollars fill their purses.
Who else wants to travel?
Five hundred pesos for everyday travel.
Traffic is one mile away.
“Stop there,” says the traffic enforcer.
Then licenses are up and hands are down.
Check it out and go.
Goes like this…
I hate normal travel.
School, bus stop, terminal, crossings, and home.
