Plant a Tree on Arbor Day
Image created on Canva
When you plant a tree,
you sow the thoughts of
leafy morns and lovely afternoons.
You plant the thoughts
of beauty growing
beneath the countless
suns and moons.
Likewise, you plant
fairy-like moments within
the leaves of this Great Tree.
We sing a song of falling
raindrops, and of rivers
that seek the sea.
Even more, you are giving
a tree unto Mother Earth.
You offer life that renders joy
from graded soil and a seedling birth.
You plant deep solace for the heart
and a rare comfort for the eye.
You plant beauty that sprouts aloud
as it flings itself toward the azure sky.
