Defervescence
My love story had already ended
Before it got a chance to start.
Sometimes it’s not about the story
But about respecting the endeared love
That remains selfless throughout the years.
Once you know what love is,
You won’t let it go easily,
And even if it goes away,
The unrequitedness follows you everywhere
Like a lesson that never ceases to exist.
Love may not be present in the present,
But its presence still makes sense
Since the essence left is a defervescence
Flowering the flows of your own floodgates.
