Song
While the world
Was screaming aloud,
I tried to listen
And understand
The message
It was attempting to spread
It came with a sad melody,
My heartbeat increased,
My lungs demanded air
To fight the need
I felt to let my tears fall,
I closed my eyes,
I put my right hand
On my chest
And answered with another
Melody, one of love,
I raised my voice
And pronounced
Sentences that came
From all my happiest
Memories,
While singing my own
Song and smiling of joy,
I perceived a change,
The air was less agitated,
The scream was gone,
There was another rhythm,
The rhythm of life
Was vibrating under my feet,
The sky was light blue,
The sun was making a courtesy,
The world was feeling sad
And wanted to be heard,
I am glad I was there
To answer that request.
