My Goal
I want them to remember
My name,
Remember my art,
Remember my sassiness,
Remember I was written
Art on pages
Where words were
Carefully chosen
To express the impact of life
on my sight and heart.
I am an artist
Who uses words
As weapons and impressions
As fuel,
I came to write
And to be read,
I came to say
What many
Don’t dare.
