Yule Dreams
Come, snow!
Dance across my window and carry my soul to the heavens.
I am so tired of this fight and
need the feel of lace and sweetness across my lips.
The trees in the forest are laden with your snowy tinsel;
the beasts place their presents beneath the bows
showing their love and devotion.
Never have I seen the forest look so beautiful
or the sky so filled with glorious sparkling lights!
As the snow caresses my face,
I become what I once was–
a ghost of Yule long ago,
dancing gaily amid the pines,
calling the spirit of Gaia to appear.
We are the dual spirits that keep this Yuletide alive–
fire and ice,
magic and wonder.
She and I will dance with the snow,
and create the magic children feel as
they wait on that wonderful Eve.
They wait for the magic,
presents forgotten,
as the magic keeps the snow falling
and the Yuletide aglow with ancient mystic wonder!
We are all fire and ice,
magic and wonder,
trees and solstice dreams.
