The Angels

The Angels. Lyrics by Tim McMahon. Melody by Rita Mock-Pike. Performed by Rita Mock-Pike.
The angels came to visit
On this Christmas Day
With beauty in their eyes
Sending love my way.
Their smiles, they glowed like sunshine
On a summer’s eve
Sharing all their love with me
This I do believe.
Some with hair of silver
Others wore their gold;
Angels of all ages —
They were young and old.
In a choir they did sing
Op’ning up my ears
To the love they bring!
As they sing “Hallelujah!”
This joy came into my heart
It was sent so deep
I knew it from the start:
It’s not only love and joy
That the angels share —
They also give us hope
And show us how to care.
