                      Barricade moon - a poem

                      Image created onCanva

                      Full cold moon
                      brings a luminous gift
                      three blessed nights
                      to lift the December sky
                      with shining songs that dance
                      like early snow
In voices harmonized through the ether
we weave a chorus of dreams
from indigo throats to silver thighs
                      like beavers in autumn
                      we revel in retreat
                      to the nest whose address
                      only we know
as the city flows around us
                      We rest at quiet anchor
                      hearts and minds entwined
                      beneath our barricade moon

The foreground features a clear glass mug filled with coffee, resting on a thick ledge of fresh white snow.
