The Bug

There’s a bug in my juice
this morning
rippling the sweet surface
of peach liquid
with its translucent
yellow wings
There’s a bug in my juice
almost every day
in my imagination
a butterfly on most days
with striped wing patterns
like a Gucci dress
There’s a bug in my juice
that flutters away
whenever I show my cup
to someone
the bug that steals
the joy of the rising sun
