                      • A picture of a comet flyign through deep dark space. Interruption and spectacle Text: Comet, Stephen M.H. Braitman, Poetry

                        Comet

                        The comet is disappointing.
                        They promised, this time,
                        Bright and true, in daylight,
We’d see a trail half across
                        A bewildered sky.

                      • A man, with his back turned, walking towards the sunset in nature. Deathless thoughts Text: Nameless, Murray Eiland, Poetry

                        Nameless

Of fragile flesh they rise, then sink to clay,
Their moments framed by gazes keen and bright.
Adored they blaze, then slowly pass away,
Perhaps too long they lingered in the light.

                      • A row of books stands neatly side by side with one open book resting on top, fanned pages spread wide, set against a soft blue background. maze of books Text: Michael C. Paul, Poetry, Escape.

                        Escape

I’ve broken free, escaped, and found my way
into a maze of books and magazines.
No minotaur shall hunt me in this place.

                      • A willow tree next to the Two Willows book cover. Justine Englebrecht Text: Interview with Justine Engelbrecht author of Two Willows, Nereesha Patel, Blog Interview

                      • A neon-outlined fish swims across the screen of a stylized laptop set against a dark, textured background. fish's eye Text: The Fool, Ramesh Dohan, Poetry.

                        The Fool

                        Somewhere nearby
                        A pigeon coos
                        A sinuous speech above me
As I lie sprawled on my bed
                        Near the windowpane
                        Where sunlight still spells warmth…
