Another New Favorite: My Ahmad Strawberry Sensation Tea Review

The first time I ever had a black tea with real strawberry infusion was in Russia. It was the cheapest brand available (less than $0.50 per box of 15 teabags) and it was 2007. It’s been a little while since I’ve tasted it – but I still remember it being really good.

Since then, I’ve been searching for a real-infusion black tea with strawberry that I enjoyed as much. I’ve tried a host of brands, including some other Russian brands. I’ve also tried Bulgarian, Belarussian, Macedonian, English, Scottish, and a few others. And been disappointed every time.

Then, I stumbled onto the Ahmad brand for August’s tea review. And now I’m hooked. As I write this review, I’m literally on the last of the twenty bags from the box. Yes. I’m going to have to order another box or twelve.

Flavor Profile

Ahmad is a British tea brand that comes in a wide range of options. I first discovered the brand thanks to a friend here at MockingOwl Roost (thank you, Tandy!). They make a range of black teas, fruit teas, black fruit teas, herbal teas, and more. And every single one I’ve tried has been amazing. So, of course their strawberry tea would be!

Strawberry Sensation is a black tea with real strawberry fruit infused into the flavors. It tastes like real strawberries blended with a rich, black tea worth sipping on and off all day. I really don’t need to say anything else – it’s black tea. It’s strawberries. You can’t lose (unless, of course, you hate strawberries).

My Verdict

If you love black tea with fruit, Ahmad is a great brand to try. (Their Blackcurrant Burst is another sensational fruit with black tea that I simply adore.) If you love strawberries, the Strawberry Sensation selection is about as perfect as you’ll get. I mean, if you can find it in looseleaf format, you may find a bit better quality, but for tea bags, I doubt you’re going to get better than this one.
