A Blessing for Those in Urgent Moments

May the peace of assurance rest upon your shoulders
like a soft cloak that warms you in winter.
May the song of joy fill your heart with energy
like a bird’s call which fills the early spring air.
May rest be your blanket
and calm peace be your heating pad,
primed for comfort,
warming you for ease.
As the urgent moments fill your thoughts,
may the strength and will of a kitten on the prowl
fill your spirit and body for the fight
through troubling, exhausting times.
May the assurance of the Lord’s lasting love
fill those moments of panic with the knowledge
that you are not forgotten,
you are not abandoned,
and this, too, shall pass.
May decisions be made easily and lovingly,
moments of clarity arising from the Spirit within
to flood your mind for the fight that lays ahead.
May you be filled with the energy
of a fine European chocolate bar and a gallon of rich, black tea
without the calories and sugar crash to follow.
May you know that you are loved,
wanted,
worthy,
trusted,
believed,
and known
as you wander the path of uncertainty and frustration.
May you find the peace and joy unexpected
in times of urgency untold,
as you rest in the One who formed you from the dust
and breathed life into your lungs.
May you know the One who knows you more deeply,
more intimately,
more lovingly,
than anyone else ever could –
and know that you are loved.
You are loved.
You are loved.
